Dr Tienie Stander is a medical doctor with more than 40 years’ of experience in the healthcare ecosystem, including the supply, provider, payer and patient side of the healthcare value chain. He is the founder and the Managing Director of VI Research FZ LLC (www.valueinresearch.com), a Dubai and South African-based health economics and outcomes research consulting company. He has participated and led more than 250 research projects, presented at many international conferences and published widely in peer-reviewed journals. 

He has served in various roles in the International Society of Pharmacoeconomics and Outcomes Research (ISPOR), including founding President of ISPOR SA Chapter, Chairman of the ISPOR Africa Network, member of the ISPOR Health Sciences and Policy Committee. Currently, he serves as the Chairman of the ISPOR Global Engagement Council and is a member of the ISPOR Finance Committee.

He was an extraordinary professor at North-West University. He has a key interest in the impact of digital transformation in the healthcare ecosystem and has led many projects towards adopting strategies in the wake of the 4^th Industrial Revolution.
